Thumbprint Cookies / Almond Wheat Flour Jam Cookies

These cute thumbprint cookies are easy to make and healthy
too…Adding almond powder makes it more flavorful. You can use any other nuts
powder instead of Almond flour. Here is the simple recipe of protein rich
almond wheat cookies.


Ingredients:
  1. Wheat flour-1 cup

  2. Almond flour- ½ cup (toast almond for few minutes and blend
    in to a fine powder)

  3. Butter- ½ cup

  4. Brown sugar- ¼ cup

  5. Milk-1 tbsp

  6. Vanilla extract-  ½ tsp

  7. Jam- ¼ cup (any flavor)

Preparation:
  • In a bowl beat butter and brown sugar until creamy.

  • Add vanilla extract and mix well.

  • Combine flour almond flour together in a bowl.

  • Gradually add it in to the butter mix and crumble well.

  • Add milk and make mix in to a dough consistency.

  • Cover it and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  • Pre-heat the oven in to 170 c and grease the baking tray
    with butter and dust with flour.

  • Take a tbsp of dough; make a ball out of it and gently
    flatten it  (of one inch thickness) and make a thump impression on the centre.

  • Make all the cookies in this way and bake it for 15 minutes.

  • Heat the jam in low flame to melt (for a minute only)

  • Add it on the impressions of each cookie evenly.

  • Allow to cool completely and serve to your little one’s with
    a cup of milk…J
